Going into the Cwmdu shop and post office is a real treat: you can buy everything from a second class stamp to a log basket.

Post Office services

At our post office counter you can buy stamps, post parcels, pay bills, top up your phone and withdraw cash from many bank accounts. Our post office team, can also provide full sub-post office service helping you to get ready for your trips abroad including ordering foreign currency, ordering a Travel Money Card or purchasing a Travel Money card over the counter.

Our Post Office counter is an increasingly important facility for the area. With the closure of  banks, building societies and cash points in Llandeilo and Llandovery we can provide banking services in Cwmdu for the customers of most U.K. banks. For banks such as Barclays, HSBC, Lloyds, NatWest and others in RBS we can offer cash withdrawals, cheque and cash pay-in. These services may require you to have a debit card and / or pre printed pay-in slips. Please come in and find out

From the 4th June 2024 the post office counter will, temporarily, only be open on Tuesdays and Fridays (between 9.30 and 1.30)

“Studio 56” – greeting cards

In October we took delivery of a new range of greetings cards, blank inside so you can add your own message.
These have been created by photographer Lynne Ball and artist Jean Floe. Together Lynne and Jean are “Studio 56”, based in Ffairfach.

Jean draws her inspiration from the landscapes she encounters while travelling or nearer home, Lynne’s photographs depict the natural world and places or events she might visit here in Carmarthenshire.
Proceeds from the sale of these cards will benefit the renovation of the kitchen at Ammanford English Baptist Church, so the building can be used by the community.
